IT Project Manager (Real Estate System)

Trigyn's direct government client based in Arlington, VA has a long-term contract assignment for Project Manager.Description:The department is seeking a Project Manager to lead the implementation of a new Real Estate Appraisal system. This new system will replace the current system. This position will also manage staff on work related to the development of an RFP for the system, system development, design, configuration, implementation, conversion, change management, communications, testing and integration with other applications.Responsibilities: Serving as the primary project manager for implementation of the computer assisted mass appraisal system includes coordinating the work of the selected software vendor; Preparing and documenting requirements and scope of work to support the request for proposal (RFP) process for the initiative; Liaising with the divisions within the Real Estate Division to ensure mutual support and effective communications throughout the project lifecycle; Working with project sponsors, staff, consultants and vendors to identify/define user requirements and design a solution to support the requirements; Developing project plans for all phases of the project and managing tasks and resources associated with each phase; Developing project timetables and tracking and reporting on project milestones and status to the Sponsor Committee; Managing organizational change management as a result of new business processes and the new system; Managing the project budget; and Assigning tasks and providing professional mentorship and guidance to team members.The ideal candidate will have strong written and oral skills and must be highly flexible, self-disciplined, and a fast learner with the ability to make effective decisions.The successful candidate will possess the following: At least 10 years experience as a Project Manager with medium to large scale applications; Experience with Real Estate Assessment appraisal systems; Significant understanding of real estate mass appraisal in a local government setting; though experience in a private setting may be considered.
