- Design and maintain highly scalable data architectures for high volume IoT event streaming and other use cases
- Lead and deliver large DevOps projects affecting multiple teams
- Define and enforce new security policies
- Drive P1 incidents to resolution by collaborating with multiple engineering teams. Identify root causes and proactively drive resolution.
- Perform hands-on administration of our AWS, containerization, database, deploy pipeline, and Linux systems
- Improve and extend CI/CD frameworks, release management tooling, and development workflows
- Improve and extend service deployment pipeline, container orchestration, and system observability
- Improved incident management lifecycle to identify, mitigate, and learn from reliability risks
- World-class security and uptime/reliability
- Scalability to handle IoT events streamed across worldwide regions at global scale
- Creation of new products and technologies designed to create healthy buildings that provide safer shared spaces for occupants.
- AWS public cloud infrastructure
- Production DB architecture and administration (Postgres, NoSQL)
- Industry standard containerization tools (Docker, PodMan, k8s)
- Industry standard pipeline & infrastructure tooling (eg: Terraform, OpenShift, Jenkins)
- Linux and network security fundamentals
- Prior experience working on scaled commercial platforms automating safety critical or mission critical use cases and integrations
- Experience architecting highly scalable data architectures, especially related to high volume IoT event streaming
- Expertise with Node and/or Java stack
