RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce's client, a growing Engineering Technology Company in Orem, UT, is seeking a New Product Introduction Engineer (NPI). We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this exclusive search assignment. The New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer works on a cross functional team of engineers who are working to scale and commercialize Electro-Mechanical products. Responsibilities: Act as a critical liaison, providing guidance and recommending design changes, between Design and Manufacturing teams to ensure design excellence and manufacturing best practices are implemented Develop, implement, monitor, and optimize manufacturing processes and methods, in accordance with product specifications and quality standards Through client's design control process, research and implement semi-automated and fully automated processing technologies where appropriate to assist with yield improvements and higher throughput in manufacturing With Design teams, develop product test plans and manufacturing process instructions Primary owner of pre-production manufacturing builds during product development phases, including hands-on assembly and then assembly with manufacturing operators Generate detailed documentation (Travelers, BOMs, Routings) in support of manufacturing assembly Ensure product quality through FMEA risk assessment and implementation of effective process controls including SPC Assist in failure investigations and root cause analyses as they relate to production processes, parameters, and fixturing Responsible for implementation of identified production and process improvements related to root cause investigations Work closely with supply chain management, incoming inspection, and vendors to assure that purchased material meets specifications in preparation for Design Transfer Troubleshoot machine failures at system and subsystem level, during prototype assembly and as part of pilots build leading up to Design TransferREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or similar engineering discipline At least 5 years direct experience as a Manufacturing/NPI/R&D Engineer in a relevant manufacturing environment Demonstrated strong DFM knowledge including mistake-proofing, simplification, standardization, and testing Experience with developing aerospace devices through commercialization; Includes design for cost of goods and manufacturing or other types of electro-mechanical products or systems Experience in RF and/or Radar based electro-mechanical systems or platforms is a plus but not required Experienced with data driven engineering methodology such as PFMEA, FMEA, reliability testing, GRR, DOE is preferred Able to manage projects from initiation to production launch Experience with tooling and fixture design is a plus but not required Experience with electronic troubleshooting would be a plus Experience writing test procedures would be a plus Experience with Electronic and/or Mechanical assembly would be ideal Familiarity with Solidworks is a plusThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
