DevOps Engineer

JOB OVERVIEW:Torque3 is seeking a highly-skilled, full-time DevOps person that will work with our engineering teams on the development, deployment, and maintenance of our software code. You will interface between that and our IT systems. Torque3 is a rapidly expanding MedTech startup that is developing a breakthrough neurorehabilitation solution. We are developing a realistic simulator that combines immersive VR, advanced robotics, and task-orientated therapy. Our integrated system is designed to help stroke and TBI survivors increase their neuroplasticity, and thus, make substantial gains faster. In other words, your role at Torque3 will be anything but dull!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works on-site in Centerville, Utah
• Cooperates tightly with our remote software development team
• Ensures that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
• Takes care that all IT infrastructure is running smoothly
• Takes care that development, staging, and production systems are running smoothly
• Supports employee's IT needs
• Configures and installs development, staging, and production IT equipment
• Tests and examines code written by others and analyzes results
• Assists software developers in troubleshooting
• Works on ways to automate and improve development and release processes; creates CI/CD procedures to automate the building of software components and their deployment in development, staging, and production environments
• Utilizes cloud services and maintains company resources in the cloud
• Analyzes current technology utilized within the company and develops steps and processes to improve and expand upon them
• Assists other engineers in creating demo environments and events
• Works closely with engineering professionals within the company to maintain hardware and software needed for projects to be completed efficiently
• Builds and implements new development tools and infrastructure
• Identifies technical problems and develops software updates and fixes
• Works with software developers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
• Reports to the head of engineering/CTO

QUALIFICATIONS

• Expert knowledge of administering networks and Linux operating systems
• Good knowledge of Windows OSes
• Good knowledge of Bash and Python
• Working knowledge of database administering and SQL
• Problem-solving attitude
• Collaborative team spirit
• Expert knowledge of containerization technology required
• Minimum five years of DevOps experience

• Salary:$95,000 to $125,000 (based on experience) annual salary
