Strong Administration and Troubleshooting skill in VMware ESX/ESXi
VMware vSphere 6.5 or newer vCenter 6.5 or newer vROPS
Experience in Administration of ESXI Hosts
Experience in Managing vCenter and vSphere
Experience in VMWare Update Manager, DRS, SDRS, Host profiles, vDS, HA, PowerCLI
Cisco UCS C-Series rack servers and B-Series Blades, including blades chassis/Fabric interconnects
Dell Power Edge Blades (DL/BL),
Hands-on experience in VCF, VMware vRealize Suite (vRA and vRO), vROPS,
Ability to handle and prioritize workloads migrations on both P2V/V2V (vMotion) using VMware
Experience on NSX-T
Experience in PowerSHELL, Python, Ruby or bash scripting
Experience in Puppet tool
Knowledge in VMware monitoring tools
Should have experience in migrations
Cloud Infrastructure, AWS
Storage and Backup administration – Pure storage and Stormagic Storage
Responsibilities
This role involves operation and maintenance of virtual server environment for data center and remote sites
Install, configure, and manage all aspects of the VMware vSphere environment including creating virtual machines, installing new ESXi hosts, datastore creation and maintenance, P2Vs, and troubleshooting performance issues Monitoring of Network and Application Environments Generate Operations Reports related to system capacity and utilization
Performs regular system maintenance, hardware and software upgrades, physical to virtual migrations and performance tuning
Troubleshoots Windows and ESX server OS issues; independently utilizes all available resources to ensure timely resolution of server issues
Manage and complete assigned tasks and tickets in a timely and proficient manner Ensure/implement the rigorous application of Information Security/Information Assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of Systems, Applications and/or Services (Hardware & Software)
