RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce is seeking a full-time Storage Engineer to remotely support our enterprise technology client based in Austin, TX.You Will: Meet with application teams, gather requirements and design, and deploy a stable storage solutions while obeying the pre-defined design standards; Maintain a large deployment of PowerFlex and vSAN Lead the planning and implementation of application migrations from one software designed data center to other SDDCs Research on ways to improve design, performance, and stability of our SDDC environments As a Storage Engineer, you will provide L3 operational support for production SDDC storage technologies Provide support to other team members in resolution of complex issues Participate in follow the sun model on-call rotation to support production environmentsREQUIREMENTS: 8+ years of experience with datacenter storage technologies 3+ years of hands-on experience with Dell PowerFlex, VXFlex, or ScaleIO storage technologies Strong technical network troubleshooting skills; Willingness to take lead and help in resolving complex issues Strong understanding of compute and storage virtualization products and technologies, vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, vsan Strong architectural understanding of complex enterprise level infrastructure with large deployments of compute, storage, and networking Self-learning individual, critical out of the box thinking ability to solve problems Good communication and documentation skillsDesired Requirements: VMware and/or Dell Technologies related certifications Experience with VMware vSphere Experience with moving workloads between different environments using NSX l2 bridge and/or HCX solution Knowledge and/or experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell; Automation of storage maintenance activities is a plus Knowledge of Hybrid cloud (AWS and/or Azure) environmentsKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
