Job Description:Software Engineers play a key role in the design, development/configuration, unit testing, installation, and ongoing maintenance of software platforms. Software Engineers work with stakeholders to develop solutions and/or products that fulfil the needs of internal stakeholders and clients. Those solutions and/or products help and clients to be more efficient and provide better service to end customers. Software Engineers interact directly with project leaders, business stakeholders, and may periodically interact directly with clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of a global, cross-functional team to develop innovative software for stakeholders.
  • Contribute to projects by creating well-designed, customized, testable, efficient code for platforms.
  • Produce enterprise-level designs for Authorization/Authentication on our client/product initiatives.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security and operations teams to provide architectural and technical guidance.
  • Integrate 3rd party security software with flagship client-facing application (Web and Mobile).
  • Implement secure software applications and advise teams on best practices.
  • Plan and develop systematic solutions to problems.
  • Provide software security expertise and mentoring to the platform team.
  • Awareness of and advisement on the importance of security on application design decisions.
  • Collaborate with our global teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaborate within the team.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Assist or lead in defining the technical requirements for custom-built software projects.

Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of software development with application security experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in technology, business, finance, accounting or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Relevant industry certifications (examples: MCSD, CSSLP, CASE) preferred.
  • Experience with Authentication / Authorization and Single-Sign-On solutions such as OAuth2, JWT, SAML or OIDC.
  • Ability to develop software in C#/.Net Core, XML/XSL, SQL, etc.
  • Experience developing with Web technology – Angular, React, Ionic, Javascript/Typescript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap.
  • Experience with mobile development and security.
  • Understanding of cross-browser support and single page application concepts.
  • Experience setting up federation/identity products like Ping Identity (PingOne for Customers) or Okta preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise with software engineering tools (Visual Studio, VS Code, etc) and methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, etc).
  • Excellent work ethic.
  • Knowledge and experience working in the financial/insurance industry a plus.
  • Ability to work and travel independently.
  • Highly effective communication, interpersonal, strategic and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Awareness of advanced technical concepts (examples: design patterns, SOA, SDLC).
