- Collaborate closely with DocBox teams to create and specify a software testing life cycle that aligns with the software development life cycle
- Understand functional content of assigned projects
- Help ensure requirements can be verified and user needs can be validated
- Write test plans, test procedures, and test reports
- Use a variety of software test tools
- Test applications developed in C/C, SQL, Python, and JavaScript
- Write and execute test scripts and command line tools in Linux and Windows
- Analyze, diagnose and resolve test anomalies, including those concerning system networking and system reconfiguration
- Support field incident condition replication and rapidly finding work arounds
- Define and execute system integration tests of connected products across supported platforms and protocols to ensure end to end quality of the product
- Take ownership and responsibility for the design and development of all aspects of automated testing along with creation, execution and maintenance of automated scripts
- Analyze, design and build automated test cases based on system requirements and design specification
- Generate methods of testing networks, bandwidth, latency, and pipeline loads in the system
- Test software/scripts that implement fixes and upgrade commercial software
- Test for, collect and report runtime statistics to help identify and eliminate system pain points
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline and at least five years of relevant experience
- Experience in writing and performing software test plans/procedures
- Experience with automated testing applications
- Experience in solving engineering problems and troubleshooting integrated systems
- Background in software engineering and test disciplines
- Strong technical documentation skills
- Experience with planning and performing system integration, independent verification and validation of software intensive systems, data analysis, and full acceptance testing of systems in lab and field environments
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with software build/release systems
- Operational understanding of Configuration Management/Change Management concepts
- Multiple years of relevant medical device experience and exposure to the healthcare environment
- Programming skills and an understanding of databases
- Experience with SmartBear Zephyr and Atlassian toolset
