Quality Assurance Tech

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a Quality Assurance Tech in Austin, TX.Summary:We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) for a contract position. The ideal candidate has great communication skills, can remove roadblocks, is detail oriented, and has a knack for breaking websites. QAE's regularly work with Developers, Product Managers, and other Quality Engineers to ensure the proper operation of the production environment. During the development cycle, QAEs identify use cases, create test cases, execute tests, and report results.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field 3+ years of hands-on experience with software project testing: Lab support and QA testing experience 1+ years of experience in writing scripts in at least Python Linux system administration experiencePreferred Qualifications: Knowledge of UNIX environment is desired Demonstrated expertise in black box and grey box testing methodologies, experience with standard QA and development tools, and the ability to operate within short release cycles Hands-on experience in testing Linux and/or Android-based devices Experience writing scripts with test automation is a plus Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skillsThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
