Role: Lead Web Developer

Location: Arlington, TX (Fully onsite position)

Job Overview: We are currently looking for an experienced Lead Web Developer to join our web development team. In this role, the Lead Web Developer will be responsible for providing technical guidance, troubleshooting issues, and developing new features to support the web team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in WordPress and our most used plugin, Elementor, as well as a deep understanding of PHP. Additionally, the Lead Web Developer will possess a strong working knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS to design and develop new and existing web pages. Familiarity with Cloudflare and caching mechanisms would be a valuable bonus.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting issues, and developing new features for WordPress.
  • Support the web team by providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Design and develop new WordPress plugins as needed using PHP.
  • Work with existing custom WordPress plugins to make modifications and updates.
  • Design and develop pages using JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
  • Ensure that the website is optimized for performance and security.
  • Manage website updates, backups, and migrations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design and content teams, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of the website.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor development teams.
  • Experience with DevOps methodologies and tools such as Git, Buddy, and AWS static web hosting.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in web development, with a focus on WordPress.
  • Strong knowledge of WordPress and Elementor.
  • Strong understanding of PHP to work with existing custom WordPress plugins and create new ones as needed.
  • Strong working knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
  • Strong working knowledge with REST APIs.
  • Knowledge of Cloudflare and caching mechanisms is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior developers.
