Job DetailsIs your background a fit? Apply if you meet this criterion:
  • Electrical Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited college / university
  • 3-5+ years substation design experience, post-graduation
  • EIT or PE License in TX, or ability to obtain reciprocity or license within 6-12 months
  • Able to work with engineering & design team to coordinate overall design package and requirements
  • Proficiency using AutoCAD or MicroStation and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Detail-oriented team player possessing strong planning, organizational, and communication skills
Duties:
  • Detail engineering / design of substation projects from conceptual design through construction from 4kV to 345kV.
  • Create & modify design documents & drawings for a project, including one-lines, three-lines, control schematics, wiring diagrams, relay panel arrangements, specifications, conduit and cable sizing/routing, and generating bills of material
  • Prepare scopes, schedules, and budgets, and ensure that schedules and budgets are met
  • Assist with project engineer and/or project manager duties as required
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate project activities with manager, clients, and others as needed
