Job DetailsThe Cloud & Infrastructure Automation Engineer will be based in our Frisco, TX headquarters and is responsible for the automation/orchestration of cloud and on-premise infrastructure and processes. The primary focus will be on user and systems provisioning and developing and maintaining a seamless capability to move workloads between the cloud and on-premise virtual environments. The selected individual will also assist with the planning, engineering, and administration Argon's cloud estate as well as assist with the overall effort to optimize and streamline IT processes and workflows globally. The ideal candidate should have broad knowledge and experience in IT infrastructure, networking, and security best practices in a Microsoft 365, Azure, and SaaS/IaaS/PaaS context with the ability to automate corresponding processes, procedures, and configuration management.Responsibilities Design and develop automated deployment, provisioning, and management of highly available, scalable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud and on-prem infrastructure and processes with a focus on the Microsoft technology stack (Windows, M365, and Azure ecosystem of SaaS, PaaS and IaaS solutions). Define & implement migration strategies, methodologies, and techniques to migrate workloads between on-prem and the cloud in a consistent and repeatable manner via infrastructure as code Develop, test, and deploy automated routine systems tasks and processes (Apps, Systems, and Infrastructure) using PowerShell, Python or similar tools Actively participate in and support key global IT activities such as change control, architectural reviews/planning, technology evaluations, POCs, problem resolution, and root cause analysis. Assist with other technical and engineering activities across IT as needed Build and maintain playbooks and other supporting documentation as neededPosition Requirements: 5 years' experience in IT with 3 or more years' experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred) as well as a working knowledge of on-prem virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and workload migration Proficiency in Windows Systems Administration; some Linux experience a plus Familiarity with Azure and Microsoft 365 administration preferred (e.g. Azure AD, InTune, Defender ATP, MCAS, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, etc) Strong scripting skills with PowerShell, Python, or similar automation tool Solid understanding of modern authentication and SSO solutions (Azure AD, Okta, SAML, OAuth, etc) and user and resource provisioning/deprovisioning in such an environment Broad familiarity with the Azure technologies such as Azure AD, tenants vs. subscriptions vs. Resource Groups, Virtual Machines (VMs), Virtual Networks (VNets), Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Storage Accounts and PaaS Services (blob, Azure Files, etc), VDI, SQL, etc Solid understanding of network administration concepts (switching, routing, subnetting, VLANs, VPN, firewalls, WAN connectivity, DHCP, DNS, etc.) High energy and ability to work both independently and across multiple global teams in a fast-paced continuously growing environment Strong process development and documentation skills Adaptable, innovative, and stays current in cloud and automation technologies Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills BS Degree in technology-related field or equivalent experienceInterested in hearing more?
