Job DetailsSUMMARY: As our Application Engineer you will be the connection for our product engineering team and customer design teams. Customer facing engineer providing support direct to customer and sales team.MUST HAVES:

• Ability to interpret technical instructions
• SolidWorks or AutoCAD
• Electric Motors (Gear Motors, Stepper motors, BLDC motors)
• Ability to Travel 25%

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Acquire application information directly from customers or customer managers and provide technical answers regarding product selection. Recommend the use of appropriate technologies that will improve the viability and function of our product in the application.
• Provide technical answers and product selection assistance to the our Sales Force.
• Coordinate with Product Solutions Team, in order to accurately define the customer system needs and match them with the appropriate engineered product solution.
• Work as a team member with the product engineering team.
• Write Technical/Functional Specifications, and Product Related Documentation.
• Perform motor and application related testing and troubleshooting.
• Create and follow through with testing plans.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 3+ Years of Professional Engineering experience
• Electrical motor experience. Preferably with gearmotors and BLDC motors.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and SAP a plus.
• Ability to travel to customer sites as needed, for technical and application related work.
• Experience with general measuring and testing equipment.
• Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical procedures, or regulations.
• Customer facing experience. Must be comfortable in a customer setting and environment.
