Hadoop PySpark Data Pipeline Build Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a Hadoop PySpark Data Pipeline Build Engineer. This role is open to the following locations: Charlotte & Raleigh (NC) / Irving & San Antonio (TX) / Phoenix (AZ) / Minneapolis (MN) / Des Moines (IA) / Denver (CO) / St. Louis (MO) / Salt Lake City (UT) / Seattle (WA) / Philadelphia (PA), Chicago (IL) / Boston (MA) / Palo Alto (CA), Jersey City (NJ) & NYC (NY).Responsibilities: Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentorREQUIREMENTS: 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education Strong Communicator and Leader Information architecture and data modeling experience BI/DW and data modeling experience Knowledge of Data Warehousing, ETL and BI architectures, concepts and frameworks Knowledge of Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault approaches for data warehouse modeling and the core differences Experience in data warehouse/data mart/NoSQL modeling principles/methods including conceptual, logical & physical Data Models Experience with time-series, dimensional, column-oriented, event sourced, and semantic data modeling patterns Debezium Open Source CDC experience is a plusHands-on Experience with: Data Pipeline Product development Google Cloud Big Data Specialty Hadoop Services Development Python and Spark Programming Airflow Custom Operator Development Kafka development CI/CD, DevOps, QA AutomationThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
