- Calculate various statistical data - quantity take-offs, material prices, labor costs per manhour, equipment, etc.
- Research historical data (purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc.) and compile summary reports to develop guidelines and procedures for future estimates/budgets.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and conduct coordination meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate/budget.
- Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures.
- Represent our company to clients, potential clients, A/E, and other contractors to provide cost engineering and cost data regarding project feasibility.
- Work on a wide variety of project types in multiple market sectors.
- Develop strong subcontractor relationships.
- College degree preferred in construction/architecture/engineering or equivalent experience.
- Construction field experience favorable.
- 0-2 years of construction estimating, cost control and/or related experience.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook, Project), Bluebeam Revu, or similar programs.
- Great communication skills - written and oral.
- Attention to detail, analytical approach to problems.
