Job Title: Linux Systems Administrator (Jira) Timings: Mon to Fri (regular shift) Duration: Multi-year project Location: Hillsboro, OR (Need Local candidates) Need Only Green Cards and USA citizens Participate in a high-quality multi-operating system infrastructure technical helpdesk driven by tickets which describe technical tasks, respond to outages, and perform security updates and audits. Ticket-based Environment: The ideal candidate will come from a Linux background and understand how to support JIRA tickets. Must haves: All tickets are audited for assignment to CW Team. Ticket volume is estimated to be at least 120 tasks/tickets per month of varying technical difficulty drawing on skills found in this section or Annex A. Perform Monthly Security updates across a wide mix of Internal, External, and Cloud hosted systems and scheduling with business owners. Perform as-needed hardware installation/repairs and break/fix support for off the shelf server gear from major vendors as well as operating systems and open-source software.
- Responds to automated monitoring system alerts and, as necessary, respond/open tickets to resolve the situation.
- Shall do root cause analysis for any break/fix support needed.
- Shall audit documentation to check for errors.
- Shall update documentation as necessary to correct errors.
- Shall engage in change control submissions (such as code check-ins) related to tracked changes on certain pieces of infrastructure per documentation.
