Role : Senior Java Backend Developer

Locations : Chicago, IL/Columbus, OH /Tampa, FL ( Temporary Remote Work )

Duration : Long Term Contract

Key Responsibilities:Design and Development of key functionality within the applicationCarry out design reviews/code reviews at agreed points throughout the project life cycleWork closely with the vendor development team to monitor the design/development undertaken by themHands on design and development of technical artifactsParticipate in technical reviews, define/Improve processes on configuration management, deployment and resiliency planning for the application.

Competencies:Mandatory hands-on experience on core Java, Spring and REST servicesStrong Java, J2EE and Micro services development experience.J2EE & OO Design PatternsGood to do UI development (HTML, JavaScript, EmberJs/React/AngularJS)Good experience in RDBMS(Oracle)Good to have knowledge on NoSQL DB CassandraStrong technical development experience on effectively writing code, code reviews, best practices code refactoring.A delivery focused approach to work and the ability to work without directionExperience with various source control tools like GITGood to have experience in tools like Splunk, DynatraceExperience in Agile development lifecycle methodologyProven problem solving and analytical skillsGood understanding of Jenkins CI/CD, Maven or GradleExperience with containers and container management platforms(Dockers, Kubernetes, etc.,)Strong technical development experience on effectively writing code, code reviews, best practices on configuration management and code refactoring.Proven problem solving and analytical skillsExposure to Rules Engine, preferably DroolsExperience or knowledge of client reference data as it relates to an Investment Bank would be an advantageExcellent Communication and Inter-personal skills, both with business customers and with fellow IT professionals (Business Analysts, Project Managers and Developers).A delivery focused approach to work and the ability to work without directionAbility to multi-task.Ability to work to deadlines
