The IT Project Manager will access and document the current capabilities and identify gaps and/or business needs required to achieve business objectives. This candidate will help document a strategic roadmap and partner with the business and technology teams to deliver the projects based on the roadmap. The ideal candidate will not only have deep technical expertise in retail technology but also the ability to manage the team to align with the company goals and deadlinesDuties & Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for overseeing and directing: the retail systems portfolio, Business relationships with the partners that use these applications, and the staff responsible for supporting and enhancing the solutions
  • Facilitates prioritization of requests from business partners, rationalization of these requests against IT resources and determination of best means of automating business processes and providing solutions
  • Provides leadership in determining the project-based information needs of the company along with the best approach for the processing, analysis, and delivery
  • Requires ability to motivate, assess team performance and communicate to senior leadership on progress
  • Responsible for managing the preparation and timely delivery of quality deliverables related to supporting, maintaining, enhancing, and monitoring information systems
  • Team leadership, business acumen, professional bearing, systems knowledge, and strong relationship management skills with users, business and technology leadership and third-party service providers
  • Responsibilities also include collaborating with cross-functional partners acting as a project manager to evaluate, prioritize, develop, manage, implement, and test solutions delivered
  • This will include partnering with relevant teams across the organization to enhance the online Customer experience, maximize usability, stability, performance and to drive growth
  • The ideal candidate will also be forward thinking, to constantly evaluate emerging strategies and technologies and make specific recommendations to senior leadership on how to use technology to move the business forward
  • Collaborate with project teams to design and deliver high quality applications that are extensible and scalable
  • Manage and guide resources to provide exceptional customer experience to our locations and customers by leveraging industry best practices and technology
  • Provide expert level problem resolution and oversight for problem management in collaboration with business partners, internal technology teams and 3rd parties
  • Deliver assignments and project deliverables with specified time frames, adhering to established standards and guidelines individually and as part of technology team
  • Follow IT standard protocol for change / release management
  • Ensure technical best practices, policies and procedures are followed
  • Outline alternatives and recommended solutions to business needs identified
  • Work with cross-functional departments to support business to plan, execute, implement, and enhance retail systems
  • Help identify and recommend technological changes where a change in process would increase efficiency, system security and/or stability
  • Collaborate with other technology teams as required to support system, support projects and new technology introduced
  • Work with other IT groups to ensure a coherent and unified approach to the planning, development and delivery of the long-term technology strategy and participates in projects as needed to support our customer initiatives
  • Performs other job duties as required

Top skills you need to have:
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Strong experience with retail POS/ERP & eCommerce technology
  • Strong experience in managing and leading technology teams
