Job Title - Distribution Associate

Duration - 6 Months possibility to extend and or convert to perm based on performance

Hours - Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM EST

OT May be needed depending on volume

Location - Durham, NC Day to Day - Manages overall shipping process and flow of work for areaProvides guidance and mentoring to less experienced team membersRegularly interacts with external carriers in the shipment of productsMakes recommendations on assignment within an area to meet demandsTrains new team members on tasks, processes and proceduresAssists team lead in processes and directionLeads the completion of special projectsResolves discrepancy and escalated issues

Additional Info - Must have steel toed shoes Handles parts with or without material handling equipment, requiring safety and delicate handling proceduresEssential Skills - At least 1+ years of relative experienceSolid knowledge of inventory managementUnderstands and is able to use all automated tools used to monitor order completion and accurate pallet countsUnderstanding of carrier shipping applicationsProficiency in shipping applications (FEDEX, UPS, etc.)Strong in use of compliance software to create international compliance documentation for shipping orders overseasStrong knowledge in the use of compliance website and related applications which correspond with the open -box audit proceduresStrong customer service and communication skillsKnowledge of financial processes, practices and related accounting systems
