Auto Body Shop Trainer (Granite Falls, NC)

Are you an experienced A-Class Body Technician?

Caldwell Collision Inc. has started a new apprentice mentoring program. We are looking for an A-Tech who is ready to take the next step and put their years of knowledge and experience to use training the next generation of Body Tech’s.

Your responsibilities would include the following:

- Overseeing and instructing (4-6) apprentices.

- Making sure repairs are performed per OE and I-car guidelines.

- Perform quality control inspections and cycle-time requirements.

- Attend OE, I-Car and other training as needed.

Qualitfications:

15 – 20 years’ experience is desired.

Be able to properly complete & train light to heavy repairs per OE/Industry standards.

Be able to properly complete & train structural repairs per OE/Industry standards.

Attend daily production meetings and oversee scheduled repairs.

Be able to read an estimate to repair vehicle accordingly.

Follow proper procedures to verify condition and correctness of parts.

Be able to identify supplemental damages for repair and billing.

Verify that all items are removed or prepared to facilitate proper quality paint work.

Participate in I-Car classes necessary to achieve/maintain shop I-Car Gold status.

ASE & I-CAR Certifications in welding, non-structural and structural a plus but not required.

Either have or be prepared to obtain the following I-Car welding certificates.

- I-Car “Steel MIG Welding” Certification Bonus (WCS03)

- I-Car “Steel Sectioning” Certification Bonus (SPS05)

- I-Car “Aluminum MIG Welding” Certification Bonus (WCA03)

Must:

Have a good work ethic with pride in your work and yourself with pleasant demeanor.

Have a valid driver's license and your own transportation.

Be able to stoop, bend, lift moderately heavy items and generally be able to do manual labor.

Be able to follow instructions to perform a task with minimal supervision.

Be drug free and submit to a background check.

Be able to work as a team player with and around others.
