We are looking for an experienced BOH person to work as a Sous Chef (Kitchen Manager) at Moosewood Restaurant in Ithaca, NY.
Moosewood is a historic vegetarian restaurant in downtown Ithaca serving vegetable-forward cuisine sourced from local farms and featuring beverages from New York State, including an all-Finger Lakes wine list. Beloved for its line of well-known cookbooks, it has won three James Beard awards since it opened in 1973.
At Moosewood, you will work with Chef Tim Mooney, and will learn all about local Finger Lakes farms, cheeses, a rich history of vegetable forward cooking and more.
The position is full-time, and responsibilities will include prep, working the line, ordering, scheduling, and managing BOH staff.
