Software Technician I

; Description: ; Responsibilities: - Experience with OSI PI or Manufacturing Software: Helpful (we can provide OSI PI training, if a candidate has a background or interest in manufacturing software systems.)- Ability to work with IT ticket tracking systems.Responsible for supporting and troubleshooting the usage and installation on OSI PI data historian software (both servers and client tools) and support end user data access.Also required to support back end data collection systems, and have a familiarity with typical manufacturing systems, such as OPC-DA and/or OPC-UA data collection configuration and a basic understanding of SQL databases (select and browse data via SSMS). ; Requirements: ; Requires moderate understanding of the general aspects of the manufacturing software systems and a familiarity with terminology and procedures used in process control and SCADA/MES systems.Ability to work with IT ticket tracking systems (such as ServiceNow) to track customer issues and requests.Ability to follow previously defined SOPs. Upon successful training and after gaining or demonstrating some OSI PI experience, the candidate may work on small expansion or upgrade projects, around PI software version upgrades or new data collection and develop tools to display manufacturing data and systems state to engineering and consumers on the factory floor.Longer term, developing automation tools to track system inventory and script or utility development (Powershell or C#) to help automate routine support and monitoring tasks, as well as customer metrics tracking for the overall support team are potential future tasks.May include some evening meetings to interact (WebEx Calls) with counterparts or clients in the AP region and may be assigned some on-call support duties.Contacts are primarily within the immediate work group (global manufacturing systems support team) as well as interacting with corporate customers of this team globally.Experience with OSI PI or Manufacturing Software( SCADA/MES systems) ; Education: Bachelors Degree
