Doran Jones is looking for a seasoned backend software engineer who is confident in their own skills and, as an initial project, can help our client expand their e-commerce solutions. Operating in an agile environment, this Senior Software Engineer will drive the development and support of significant features and enhancements to our client’s platforms. They will also participate in ground up re-engineering of legacy solutions with cloud native technologies. Our ideal candidate is passionate about technology, has a strong web application development background, and mastery of a range of current technologies and development best practices.Responsibilities

    • Drive the development and support of significant features and enhancements to an e-commerce platform.
    • Participate in the ground up re-engineering of legacy solutions with cloud native technologies.
    • Collaborate on go-forward strategies that improve solutions, systems, and processes.
Required Experience
    • 12+ years of strong, hands-on .

      NET and C# development experience, along with

      .NET 5/6, with deep knowledge of Object Oriented and .NET development principles, methodologies, and tools, including Web Services, Multithreading, LINQ, Entity Framework, Container Technologies, and Computing
    • 5+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise web applications.
    • Microservices, SOA, Clean Architecture or other modern application architecture patterns such as described in Gang of Four, SOLID Principles
    • KubeMQ, RabitMQ or other

      messaging bus
    • 5+ years of

      Microsoft SQL server experience with strong knowledge of relational database principles and TSQL, exposure to NoSQL Databases
    • Web services with

      REST/GraphQL
    • API Gateway principles, and exposure to API Gateway products like Apigee
    • Setting up CI/CD pipeline for Flutter/.NET-based applications on Kubernetes cluster
    • Cloud native, Cloud agnostic concepts, 12 factor apps concepts
    • Experience with complex and distributed business solutions, incorporating a variety of data and business logic elements, combined using synchronous and asynchronous communication techniques
    • Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle and Agile Development Methodologies.
    • Experience with setting up CI/CD pipelines
    • A deep understanding of technologies, and trends and a passion for innovation on all fronts
    • Internally motivated, able to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
    • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, able to work with both internal team members and external business stakeholders
    • Team player, trouble-shooter, and problem-solver
    • Ability to document issues and remedies/solutions
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
Preferred Experience
    • Serverless computing (Apache OpenWisk, Knative)
    • Cloud experience with AWS and Azure
    • Core competency in Kubernetes
    • Kubernetes cluster administration
