Project Manager (Investment Banking Technology)Remote/NYCLong-term contract to hireThe project manager is responsible for coordinating with business and IT stakeholders toward successful implementation of the projects, within defined budget and timeline: project scoping and planning, development and test tracking, UAT coordination between internal clients and vendors, project status report to stakeholders and management, identify, manage and escalate risks, issues, maintain project artifacts. Projects assigned could be on an enterprise level, Front to Back and may also be required to work with third-parties. The role requires the individual to have a proactive and positive approach, strong client-facing and interpersonal skills, business/result focus, coordination and organizational skills.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with business (FO, MO, BO, Compliance, Accounting & other supporting departments).
  • Work closely with BA, developers, infrastructure, network, IT Security.
  • Work with other entities in Americas or other regions, and with external vendor
  • Provide Project Management oversight and coordinate planning, implementation, UAT, go/no-go, production readiness, prod release; task tracking and documentation.
  • Provide strategic direction, drive project stakeholders to follow best practices and controls throughout planning and implementation phases.
  • Strong synthesis and presentation skills to help the Steering Committee make key decisions.
  • Lead weekly / monthly governance calls with stakeholders and communicate to other regions.

Qualifications
  • Strong personnel, organizational skills and able to manage conflicts and issues.
  • Strong driver to help responsible stakeholders deliver in a timely manner.
  • Must be result oriented.
  • Good knowledge of project management, vendor management, ability to identify critical paths and issues.
  • Good knowledge of broker-dealer/investment banking environment, trade flows.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks / projects and develop strong client relationships.
  • Excellent communication/writing skill, ability to synthesize and present information to management.
  • Familiar with both Agile and Waterfall.
