Position: LIMS Software Developer & Support
- The candidate will be expected to work both with teams and independently to create and implement standardized development procedures for the Ortho LIMS QDIS/R environment.
- They will be expected to define requirements, design solutions, develop, test, validate, work with users, and implement solutions based on user requirements.
- They will be called upon to investigate LIMS QDIS/R issues, troubleshoot error handling and outages, identify root cause, and implement remediation for issues.
- They will be expected to work proactively and work with cross functional teams.
- SQL / PL SQL – 2+ years
- Java/SWING/J2EE- 2+ years
- Oracle 18c - 2+ years
- Oracle Reports 10g – (preferred)
- IBM WebSphere Application Server– 2+ years (preferred)
- Onsite in Rochester, NY
- Have strong technical skills in Oracle and JAVA
- Can work independently and within team infrastructures
- Be a self-starter, capable of delivering results with minimal supervision or guidance
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Strict adherence to Ortho policies for documentation requirements, record retention, training, Ortho Code of Conduct
- Experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)-preferred
- Experience with source code management systems - Subversion a plus
