We would offer a comp package that would incentivize the person to both grow the LOB as well as lead the effort for initiating a “transaction” for the business. This could be direct hire, but we are thinking this would be more of a 18 month engagement to start. Person would need t be local and able to get to the NYC / NJ office (Iselin area)a few day a week (maybe 3) as needed.

POSITION: GENERAL MANAGER – A P DIVISION

The Position – An OverviewA global Information Technology firm seeks an experienced General Manager for its A P division. They will be responsible for directing a staff of 10+ individuals – coordinating and managing the operations of our growing Data Center Information Management (DCIM) software solution. The successful candidate will have previous experience as a Manager of middleware/software organization – with strong operations skills. This executive will have proven track-record in a broad range of functional areas including management & operations, product development, product implementation, finance, got-to-market strategies, sales & marketing, etc
  • This leader will participate in setting the vision for A P and its suite of software solutions.
  • They will understand the focus and direction of the application, and be bottom-line driven.
  • They will have an entrepreneurial spirit, exhibits a positive, can-do attitude, have the desire and ability to grow a business quickly and will be flexible in style & approach in response to changes in the environment.
  • They will have a delivery focus with a history of meeting deadlines and the ability to interact with internal corporate staff as well as executive level management on the client side to help facilitate the sale and implementation of the solution.
  • Work with the Management Team to grow the product to generate its own revenue stream.
  • They will investigate and lead the effort on how A P partners with and/or links into other industry-leading applications, including possible strategic alignments, investments or acquisitions.
  • They will be highly energetic, committed, charismatic and eager to make a difference.

The Position – Relevant ExperienceCritical to this position is experience in driving and managing a development & implementation process for an enterprise-level software application.
  • Managing a Application/Product development staff.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of business process, financial modeling, and managing full P&L responsibility.
  • Participating in identifying strategic direction of tools and products.
  • Directing the implementation of A P products and/or services.
  • Assisting with go-to-market efforts, sales, marketing and business development efforts.

ResponsibilitiesThe Manager will be driven toward personal improvement and wealth building through the success of the company and building a cohesive, high-performance development and implementation team.

Management & Operations (30%)
  • Manage and grow the A P team.
  • Plan, direct, coordinate, and control the daily operations of A P, including personnel, procedures, etc.
  • Daily P&L responsibility, monthly status report and detailed quarterly financial reports to management.

Strategy, Marketing and Sales (40%)
  • Assist Sales effort focused on increased A P revenue & market share.
  • Create strategic options for expansion and achieving maximum valuation for the A P business.
  • Participate in alternative sales strategy discussions, including channel programs, strategic alliances, etc.
  • Assist with the public relations policies designed to improve the Company's image and its relationship with business partners, customers, and employees.
  • Develop a marketing plan and branding strategy, and manage the execution of this plan
  • Provide pre-sales insight, including technical insight and support relative to presentations, proposals, etc.

Product Development (20%)
  • Evaluate and recommend additional development efforts to match market requirements, sales & marketing positioning, etc.
  • Create product roadmap
  • Evaluate other tools & partnerships for integration into A P
  • Oversee and lead ongoing software development, manage release schedule.

Software Deployments & Project Management 10%)
  • Work with Account & Project managers to oversee & ensure A P deployments are successful.
  • Assist with product & technical support.
