Data Migration Analyst

We are seeking a Data Migration Analyst to assist in discovery, planning, and executing the data migration process.The Data Migration Analyst will work closely with internal business users and line of business IT teams to gather requirements and develop migration recommendations. The Data Migration Analyst will lead the discovery and analysis of data in the various source business locations and develop recommendations as to where data should be migrated based on usage, business requirements, and storage requirements/limitations.Primary Responsibilities:Assist in discovery, planning, and executing the data migration processPerform source data analysis to manage source to target data migration mapping including archiving unused or inactive dataAssist in preparing data migration plans including migration risk, milestones, quality, and business requirements sign-off detailsAssist in managing assigned risks and monitor potential impact as part of the data migration planAssist in developing best practices, processes, and standards for effectively carrying out data migration activitiesAssist in performing migration and testing of static data from source to destinationWork closely with internal business users and the line of business IT teams to gather requirements and develop migration recommendationsWork with subject matter experts and project team to identify, classify, define, collate, document, and communicate the data migration requirementsWork with subject matter experts, line of business IT teams and internal business users to understand data usage and implications of data migrations Experience/Skill Qualifications: Prior data migration experience a must with strong data analytical skillsExperience with migrating data to Microsoft Teams, OneDrive and SharePointExperience with Box, Slack, internal file shares, and storageExperience with AvePoint Fly Migration tool or similar migration tool is preferred but not requiredAbility to work with large disparate data setsStrong Excel, Power BI skills for completing data analysis and providing reportingStrong organizational skillsA bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or its equivalent in work experience, plus five years of experience in Technology required
