Business Analyst (Cloud computing and data integration)

Our client - a major utility firm has an immediate need for Business Analyst. The particulars of the position are as follows.Project Overview:The successful consultant will play a key role gathering functional and technical requirements, conducting data mapping, coordinating the development policies, procedure and guidance documents, work with IT program areas for ensure processes or aligned, assist with stakeholder communications, and change management. Job Functions & Responsibilities: Inventory existing applications requiring provisioning and deprovisioning guidelines. Develop baseline and review of current provisioned account holders. Document functional requirements for application provisioning, deprovisioning and review cadence for all Canal applications. Work collaboratively with IT, Strategic Supply Management and SaaS vendors to assess monitoring of privileged application access and activity, SOC reporting, and password requirements and develop future processes to address audit observations. Lead efforts on the development of various IT-related policies and procedures. Create Business Process flows / Business process documents. Create Requirements Traceability Matrices. Assist team with stakeholder communications. Weekly status reports. Meeting agendas, materials, and minutes for weekly meetingSkills: Extensive experience in developing detailed requirements functional and technical. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. A deep understanding of technical concepts, principles and terminology. Knowledge of data science concepts and experience gathering data requirements. Ability to work in a team environment with both employees and consultants is a must. Ability to communicate effectively across many different levels of technical and business teams. Experience with Agile and hybrid waterfall project methodologies. Superior presentation and negotiation skills. Proven management and organizational skills. Strong adaptability and capacity to work in fast-paced environments. Extensive knowledge regarding MS O365, in particular SharePoint Online. Governmental experience is a plus.Education & Certifications BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited school, or equivalent. 5+ years of applicable experience, preferably in the area of Business Analysis for IT projects including cloud computing and data integration.
