The Solutions team is a client focused IT team responsible for supporting core business processes covering portfolio construction, order generation, order management, trade execution, trade confirmation and trade settlement. This role requires an individual with strong business and technical knowledge to support their proprietary Front Office applications and electronic trading applications as well as deliver on critical business driven projects and initiatives. A solid understanding of Financial Instruments, Portfolio construction and Trade lifecycle is essential to the role. Primary skills:- Primary point of contact with Business Users (Portfolio Managers, Traders etc.)- Must be team oriented and work well within a global team- Must be self-sufficient, be accountable and act like an owner of IT related issues handled by the team- Good analytical, problem solving skills coupled with strong communication skills- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)- Responsible for managing Incidents, major incident, problem and change management related activities- Advanced Database/SQL (Sybase preferred) skills - ability to write stored procedures- Hands on experience with operating systems like UNIX/LINUX- Advanced understanding and ability to write scripts in Perl, Shell, Python- Understanding of Equity/Derivatives/FX trade life cycle, electronic trading, FIX and accounting.- Batch job scheduling tools like AutosysPreferred skills:- Understanding of core Java, .Net, C#, SOAP/Rest based architecture- Experience working on reporting tools like Crystal/Boxi/Tableau- DevOps tools like Appdynamics, Splunk- Exposure to agile methodology Education:
