Programmer Analyst

Description This Programmer Analyst role from Robert Half will bring together your understanding of software and applications programming and industry requirements and your desire to create and define systems scope and objectives. In this role, you would provide recommendations for developing or modifying applications or databases, using research and fact-finding. This long-term contract / temporary Programmer Analyst opportunity is found in Las Vegas, Nevada.Key responsibilities- Examines user requests for changes or improvements to systems. Writes functional requirements and assesses cost, feasibility and utility. Makes recommendations about how, when or whether to make the changes- Guides internal clients on applications, systems and/or processes for identifying and resolving, processing/reporting programming problems. Provides consultation through troubleshooting and/or education- Aids in creating communication materials for certain system changes being implemented in production- Trains and assists end users and other partner groups for a particular application, system or process, on an ongoing basis- Analyzes processing procedures. Develops recommendations for improvements- Build and assess programming changes for every phase of systems development prior to implementation. Record test cases and expected results. Ensure results meet requirements. May develop basic tests or a defined subset of a larger system test. May make suggestions regarding acceptance/rejection if not all requirements are met- Analyzes and documents issues. Works with other programmers to correct code problems- Creates and updates dictionaries for applications and systems support by the analyst Requirements - Command of PC and mainframe hardware/software- Comprehensive understanding of programming languages- Versatile project planning abilities that include project costing techniques- Previous experience as a project leader for the business portion of developmental applications or major systems improvements- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)- General familiarity with SQL- C# experience desired- ASP.NET MVC Framework experience- C Sharp Programming (C#) experience required- Demonstrated knowledge of .NET- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning- Adeptness in ASP- Proficiency in ASP.NET Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
