CONSTRUCTION LEAD

Meadowlark Construction is looking for an Experienced Foreman who will lead and guide us in various aspects of our renovation projects.

Our ideal candidate is a strong team-player who enjoys a changing work environment and contributes to a positive work culture. This person is also an energetic and motivated self-starter who is not afraid to take on new challenges and strives for continuous improvement of them-self and their work.

This is a hybrid position. We are looking for someone to take the lead on renovation projects as well as skilled maintenance. Daily meetings with employees,reminding them of safety,protocols, resolving problems and conflicts that may arise. They will coordinate with other crew supervisors to ensure progress is happening on schedule.

Responsibilities:

Leading with daily hands on building/ remodeling of residential renovation.

Leading general site clean up and maintenance while working and at the end of the work day.

Collects and evaluates company’s data in order to estimate the costs, resources and labor needed to produce a sustainable result.

Lead prep site by participating in demolitions, removing debris, unloading materials.

Operate power tools safely and correctly

Prepares work to be estimated by gathering contracts, blueprints, specifications and related documents.

Leading and trade workers as required.

Observe all safety procedures and regulatory requirements when working, including when working around moving mechanical equipment, in elevated places, and in various outdoor weather conditions

Load and unload renovation supplies and tools from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Maintains work areas and systems in a neat, orderly condition to ensure smooth operations.

Develops and maintains an effective company culture through the selection of hiring,training, encouragement and review of direct staff

Communications with project manager to clarify work order information and to relay repair results

Lead problem solving and set courses of action to meet objectives each day.

Leading crew in productivity by allocating resources and delegating tasks to appropriate employee skills.

Taking on the responsibility for the completion of jobs on time and within budget

Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards

Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)

Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary

Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality

Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed

Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)

Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide

Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)

Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed

Basic understanding of electrical, HVAC, hydraulic, and other systems-Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods

Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices

Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills

Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime

High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus

Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired

Qualifications

-High school or equivalent (Preferred)

-Programmable logic controllers: 1 year (Preferred)

-Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
