Technical Project Manager - Mobile Billing Systems Maryland Heights, MO We are seeking a Technical Project Manager with experience supporting enterprise-scale billing systems. The Technical Project Manager is responsible for on-time delivery of operations maintenance and enhancement activities within the company's billing systems for mobile lines of business, with the technical know-how to drive critical path efforts supporting key initiatives. The position requires full on-site presence in Maryland Heights, Missouri. This is a contract to hire opportunity. Responsibilities:
- Identify and drive key areas of effort and resolve roadblocks with a problem-solving mindset to achieve on-time delivery of large-scale initiatives.
- Organize large-scale efforts by defining work breakdown schedules, project timelines, delivery schedules, and level of effort estimations.
- Understand top-level objectives and effectively communicate objectives with others.
- Build relationships and coordinate with peer business and technology teams and vendors to address challenges and accelerate delivery timelines.
- Facilitate activities related to the identification, design, and delivery of solutions addressing critical production issues across the mobile billing platform and integrated applications and interfaces.
- Participate in the analysis and improvement of support processes, including documentation as necessary.
- Provide management guidance to the operations support team.
- Manage activities related to the identification and implementation of new automation, and improvements to existing automation.
- Review O&M operating procedure documents and advise on improvements.
- Contribute to process definitions for Issue Management and Change Management.
- At least 5 years of experience in project management with direct responsibility for successful project delivery.
- Clear understanding of the operating principles of enterprise production environments, including change management and general support procedures.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies.
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience working in a distributed, internet-scale Linux environment.
- Familiarity with ITIL/SRE principles.
- Professional, team-oriented personality with experience working in a large support organization.
- Strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently with incomplete requirements.
- Team attitude with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Project management certification.
- Experience supporting billing systems, specifically Amdocs.
- Experience in cable and/or communications related fields, and an understanding of the technologies, processes, and principles of these industries.
