Warehouse Associate - Contract - Shakopee, MN

Warehouse AssociateContract PositionThis position works Monday thru Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or 11:00 AM to 7:30 PMPay: $19.00 an hourThe Warehouse Associate will be responsible for assisting the materials management department with the following duties:

• Ship and receive product and examine product for damage
• Store product according to established procedures
• Assist with maintaining inventory records
• Enter inventory information into ERP system
• Understand and follow inventory management SOP s
• Pick orders and prepare for shipment
• Troubleshoot issues utilizing the ERP system and reporting tools
• Operate pallet jack, forklift and other tools as needed
• Contribute to the daily maintenance and general cleanliness of the warehouse area
• Assist with other material management tasks when needed

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Some college or technical school preferred or equivalent related work experience
• Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in an automated warehouse environment using scanning / scan gun technology
• Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Must have prior experience using a formal ERP type system
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Willingness to offer solutions for process improvements
• Enthusiastic with ability to multi-task
• Forklift certified / previous forklift experience
• Dependable
• Previous experience with ShipExec system a plus
• Any relevant certifications a plus
