SUMMARY:This position works on the Systems Engineering team with a focus on the IBM i family of products and solutions. The role will require working some nights, weekends, and holidays to perform upgrades and/or installs during non-production hours as well as system support for issues as they arise and as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • An appropriate bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure systems engineering or a related field.
  • Advanced technical experience in IBM i management, DB2 Management, and System Replication/Disaster Recovery/High Availability
  • Experience with IBM software patch management using PTF processes.
  • Experience with OUTQ print management
  • Experience using BRMS backup and recovery processes.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and strong troubleshooting experience, including networking and TCP/IP Concepts, server hardware
  • A pattern of initiative and technical innovation, proven problem solving, decision making and project management skills, strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational, time management skills, well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to participate in after-hours escalations and/or system upgrades (including nights, weekends, and holidays) and 24x7 on-call as scheduled
