Looking for a full-time job or interested in trying a job with the potential of a future career as an Electrician? Egan Company is seeking entry-level electricians (CW/construction wireman) for the Hoot Lake Solar project in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.

Responsibilities:

-Work directly under the supervision of a qualified journeyman electrician

-Build, assemble, and install solar powertrackers, modules, and associated components

-Assist in the installation of underground conduit and electrical wiring

-Build/assemble steel framing for solar panel support

-Install solar panels

-Stage materials and tools

-Terminations and testing of installed equipment

Qualifications:

-Must be at least 18 years of age & have a GED or high school diploma

-Possess basic hand tools (or willing to possess basic hand tools)

-Ability to start immediately

-Interest in working in a union position (title of Construction Wireman/CW)

-No previous electrical experience required

-Not required, but prefer current student or graduate of an electrical construction program at a trade school, or graduate of a high school vocational program.

Working Environment & Additional Details:

-This is an hourly, non-exempt role, paying $20.00 per hour

-Regular hours are Monday - Thursday from 7:00am to 5:30pm; 40-hour work weeks (10 hour days) with possibility of overtime on Fridays

-Position requires work outdoors on construction jobsites, up to 100% of the time - proper work attire based on weather conditions is expected

-Ability to stand for extended periods of time

-Exposure to loud noise, dirt, and the elements

-Climbing ladders/stairs, uneven ground, lifting, bending, kneeling, and twisting are to be expected

-Requires successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and pre-placement exam.

-Our electrical training program is in cooperation with IBEW Local 1426 and the Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee (JATC) to identify possible candidates who demonstrate an interest in the electrical contracting business
