Job DetailsPrimary Responsibilities:Concept selection, design, analysis, and test of new productsEngineering documentation and design tool improvement such as hardware specification development, test plans, analytical reports, test reports, reliability assessments, and Excel based tools for incorporation into standard workSupport new business proposals, formal design reviews, and customer presentationsAdherence and development of engineering standard workInterface with management, suppliers, customers, and members of the technical design teamProject planning skills required for estimates and planning (budget and schedule)Satisfying external and internal customer needs subject to strong design and businessProvide timely and effective communication to management and customersSupporting engineering investigations to establish root cause, and implementBasic Qualifications:Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations ORAdvanced Degree in a related field ORIn absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is requiredMust =Preferred Qualifications:Experience in design, test, and manufacturing of mechanical components and systemsBackground with structural and thermal analysis, and 3D design softwareExperience with Excel (i.e., VBA, Solver, etc.)Experience preparing and executing to a program planExperience with rotating hardware technologies with pumps, gears, transmissions, and generatorsExperience with ACE and/or Design for Six Sigma, particularly DOEExperience working in a team environment and communicating effectively with technical authority through all levels of the organizationBackground with engineering drawingsInterested in hearing more?
