These positions are based in Auburn Hills, MI for a large Fortune 500 Automotive firm.

Description:

The Infotainment Design Release Engineer is responsible for development, test and delivery of state-of-the-art audio and infotainment features. The Design Release Engineer will also be responsible but not limited to:
  • Managing the integration of an infotainment system into specific vehicles.
  • Supplier management for hardware and software releases as per the vehicle timeline.
  • Heavy focus on implementation of quality improvements to the infotainment system.

o This will include quality analysis of issues, leading supplier engagement, visit to customer vehicles to dive deeper into issues, and drive closure of open issues and validate software fixes.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in electrical, computer, computer networking & security, electronics & information security, computer program & system analysis, or computer science or related engineering field from an ABET accredited university.
  • Knowledge of infotainment systems and features
  • Understanding of vehicle system engineering
  • Understanding with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA) & Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R)
  • Self-motivated with excellent program management and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google suite of applications
  • The role requires a highly motivated and hands-on team player with an exceptional attention to detail.
  • The role will suit an Engineer who has the ability to quickly develop skills in new areas and liaise with other engineers with the cross functional team.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in electrical, computer, computer networking & security, electronics & information security, computer program & system analysis, or computer science or related engineering field from an ABET accredited university.
  • Lead design verification of infotainment features
  • Experience with Infotainment Systems: Bluetooth, Hands-Free Phone, AM/FM radio, Navigation, Audio Media and Infotainment HMI features
  • Experience in analog/digital audio or telematics hardware/software implementation.
  • Knowledge of vehicle networks and diagnosis tools
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Requirements:Candidates must be open to working any shift as assigned including nights and weekends as required based on plant production• Bachelor's degree in Engineering /Computer Science or Information Technology (IT) related field.• 3+ years of previous work experience in an IT support role.• In depth knowledge of Windows 10 OS, Microsoft Office Suite, hardware and software administration, and the Google Application Suite.• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
  • Working knowledge of incident/change management.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Self-Motivated and able to adapt and learn quickly while on the job.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Project Management experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with ITIL process and procedures.
  • 3+ years IT support experience in a manufacturing environment.
