EXPERIENCED Apartment Maintenance Technician

Our team is looking for an EXPERIENCED Apartment Maintenance Technician for our apartment community in Holt, MI.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

Boiler start-up/repair & baseboard heat knowledge REQUIRED.

Handle all work orders assigned by Property Manager. Follow through on completion of these work orders; communicate with Property Manager regarding problem work orders and/or bad condition of apartments, making the necessary arrangements to resolve the problems. A response time within 24 hours is required.

Turnover/remodeling of all apartments within a 3-7 day period

Handle resident complaints/problems, making appropriate referrals to the Property Manager. Inform the Property Manager of continuing problems.

Make routine daily inspections/repairs of the common building areas and grounds and inform Property Manager of any major areas of concern.

Ensure that all residents are provided with a clean, safe and well-maintained environment.

Perform all maintenance duties, following correct, safe work practices.

Organization and proper use of maintenance supplies and tools.

Inventory control and organization

Respond to maintenance call after hours on an “on-call” basis as directed and scheduled by the Property Manager.

Perform all other duties as directed by the Property Manager and assist in the overall team effort to maximize the value of the property with systemized operations and maintaining a first-class property with excellent curb appeal.

Physically able to perform all duties of this position.

This is a full-time position with a rotating on-call system. Pay rate will be determined based on experience.

Paid time off earned after 90 days of employment.
