Assistant Civil Engineer / EIT

Carroll Engineering, Inc. is a small Civil Engineering firm with an office in Oxford, Michigan.

We are looking for an Assistant Engineer to provide design support for site development projects from the conceptual phase through construction documents for small and large-scale Institutional, Schools K-12, College campuses, high density housing, commercial development, public works, and parks/recreation projects.

Responsibilities:

Assimilate topographic surveys and architectural site plans into AutoCAD and Civil 3D

Grading and drainage design

Utility design (storm, sanitary, and water).

Interpret campus as-builts

Layout new parking lots

Locate buildings

Calculate earthworks

Hydraulic design

Develop storm water management plans and calculations.

Assist colleagues whenever necessary.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Some knowledge of surveying and survey principles

High School Diploma

EIT or on track to obtain EIT preferred.

The ability to work independently, multi-task and manage multiple projects.

Strong communication skills.

Construction/Field experience preferred.

Criminal background check may be required.

Job Type: Full-time, In-Person/Office

Salary: $25-$35 per hour, depending on experience.
