Job DetailsProgram Management Office is looking for a dedicated project engineer to assist with the scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality. The Project Engineer is responsible for the engineering and technical aspects of ongoing projects and will work with the project team for the proper implementation of all the elements of a project. The chosen candidate will support FERC and corporate initiatives that will enhance the reliable and efficient operations in our day ahead and real time processes. The chosen candidate will support a wide range of initiatives that improve the reliability and efficiency of the power grid while supporting the reduced carbon future by adding new ancillary services to our market clearing solutions, adding new market clearing features that facilitate adoption of renewable resources, and improving impacted process such as load forecasting and outage coordination. To be a successful project engineer, you should have exemplary technical credibility, the ability to work with multiple discipline projects and demonstrate excellent understanding of the technical aspect of the project. You should also have excellent organizational, time management and decision-making skills. How you will make an impact:Formulate project parameters and monitoring the project teamInteract with business owners, interpreting their needs and requirementsPerform quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performanceCooperate and communicate with the project manager and other project participants and collaborate with senior engineers to create more efficient project methodsReview the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actionsDevelop specifications for the projectCreate frameworks to measure the project's metrics and data collectionEnsure the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications What we're looking for:Bachelor's degree in engineering. A Master's in Engineering is highly desirableExperience with economics or business is highly desirableExperience with Software Development Lifecycle processesAbility to work with multiple discipline projectsExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices Desired not required:5 or more years' of working for an our company in technical capacityInterested in hearing more?
