Maintenance Technician

Full-time qualified, motivated and experienced Maintenance Technician needed for busy Fitchburg, MA apartment complexes.

Responsibilities include all duties associated with the maintenance of the property. Complete resident and site work orders including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance evaluation and repair, roof repairs, snow removal, painting and cleaning in a timely manner with attention to detail.

Responsible for the condition and appearance of the site grounds.

Unit and site inspections and preparing the property for HUD/State inspections.

Must participate in on-call schedule to address emergencies and snow removal after hours and weekends as required.

Must be able to work independently with little supervision in all weather conditions.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs., stand, crawl, climb ladders, etc. to complete work

Maintain professional courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED. Technical school or experience a plus.

5 plus years general maintenance experience.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be customer service oriented.

Ability to meet or exceed the company's attendance and punctuality standards.

Must have own common hand tools.

Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated

Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.

Must have a valid Driver's license and reliable transportation.
