We are hiring "Project Manager Tech III" for one of our clients. Job Title: Project Manager Tech III Location: Boston MA 02108 Duration: 6+ Months Contract Job Description: Project Manager to assume accountability for the successful completion of a portfolio of projects. The candidate will be responsible for leading the initiation, planning, execution, and closure phases of the project life cycle for IT projects involving multiple technologies, systems, business unit functions, and stakeholders. The candidate will manage plans, organize, and control all operations and activities of software focused IT projects at varying levels of complexity. Primary Responsibilities: Communicate effectively with project teams, sponsors, managers, and other stakeholders Develop and maintain full-scale project plans, ensuring that roles and responsibilities are defined Coordinate and monitor activities and highlight anticipated issues or slippage. Work with team members to formulate corrective actions when project deliverables deviate from the work plan and projected budget Ensure that user requirements, deliverables, and approvals are defined, documented and communicated Ensure the delivery of a product that meets user requirements Promote use of PMI best practices Develop comprehensive project plans: work structures, schedules, major milestone roadmaps, communication plans, test plans, and change control procedures Deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements, documentation, and presentations Respond dynamically to changing requirements, expectations, and priorities; manage all business objectives, technical needs, limitations, priorities, and risks Demonstrate technical writing skills, experience with proposals, RFPs/RFQs, with the ability to proofread and edit for proper grammar, punctuation and spelling in all documents produced Proven ability to prioritize tasks and functions effectively in a fast-paced, occasionally high-stress environment with a variety of personalities High level of mental reasoning with the ability to address and resolve a wide range of intellectual and practical issues and concerns Education/Experience: B.S. in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is required. PMP certification preferred 5-7 years of IT work experience, including 5 or more years managing projects. At least 3 years of direct project management and leadership responsibilities for implementation of major, cross- functional IT projects and enterprise infrastructure projects Experience in projects relative to storage environments, networking, cyber security, data center technologies, and backup solutions Technical Requirements: Highly skilled in Microsoft Office including MS Project and Visio General knowledge of data center technologies, cyber security concepts and tools, and LAN/WAN/WLAN networks Familiarity with web applications, Microsoft .NET architecture, and relational database concepts Solid understanding of UX principles Experience with projects involving regulatory or legal requirements definition preferred Qualifications: Proven experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies Experience with and knowledge of various project management tools, including MS Project Proven experience driving continuous improvement program focused on project selection and execution Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate both business and technical objectives from multiple perspectives including client view, internal development view, operational, and support view Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with an outstanding record of expertise in technical communications and security principals Experience developing and delivering timely status reports so that both members of the project team and executive stakeholders are aware of project progress and changes in scope or schedule Proven experience balancing the requirements and deadlines set from stakeholders with the prioritized backlog of the Engineering teams Proven experience in strategic planning, risk management, change management Experience developing full-scale project timelines, plan and track dependencies and critical path items to keep project on time The candidate must have demonstrated experience leading projects following a set of security and general system policies Ability to visualize, capture, and describe networked systems and workflows Skilled in problem analysis and creative problem-solving approaches that optimize quality deliverables Must be self-directed and able to excel in a leadership role Skilled in quickly connecting with and influencing people Capable of negotiating and managing conflicts Exemplary time management and organizational skills, ability to manage a varied and demanding workload while meeting difficult deadlines Ability and willingness to quickly learn new technologies Capacity to integrate knowledge of business and technology in developing solutions to meet business needs Should you be interested, please send me a copy of your resume in Word/PDF format along with the following details ASAP.
