Job DetailsI'm targeting a 2-5 year professional that has Network Support Experience My client will train on Test Engineering. So if you've been working in the Network Space and have a good background with Modems, Network Protocols, Testing WiFi equipment or Network Hardware - This could be a good opportunity for you. The manager out there is excellent, easy to work with, and an overall great guy. Great Environment! We are looking for a QA Test Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of DOCSIS Cable Modem testing experience along with experience with wireless hardware. This is a great opportunity for a motivated engineer looking for a role with a lot of potential for growth and learning.The individual must be fully vaccinated or be able to provide weekly negative COVID-19 tests for on-site work.Responsibilities

• Testing Cable Modem and Cable Modem Gateway DOCSIS 3.0 and 3.1 products.
• Performing CableLabs DOCSIS Acceptance Test Procedures.
• Performing Comcast EMTA Cable Modem Gateway Test Procedures.
• Testing DOCSIS Radio Frequency functionality.
• Perform OTA and conducted wireless testing (Throughput, Mesh Roaming/Performance, Band Steering, Load Balancing).
• Execute System level Stress and Stability tests on Access Point hardware.
• Test WiFi Product in home, office, shield tent and shield box environments.
• Ensure maximum product quality by testing and validating features and functionality with new and existing software/firmware under both normal and stressed conditions. This will include the following: performing full automated and manual tests of software/firmware testing; bug reporting; bug fix verification and regression testing.
• Perform Firmware/Hardware/Platform Testing on multiple product lines.
• Review all documentation and test plans and execute test plans and test cases in a network environment while ensuring the integrity of the lab environment.
• Provide troubleshooting and expeditious resolution of network/test environment issues.
• Create and execute device verification test plans in the Xray Jira system.
• Replicate reported bugs and characterizing and entering issues/tasks into Jira.
• Collaborate with QA Test, Software/Firmware, and Tech Support Teams.
• Participate in "Game Day" and Home Beta Testing of our new product lines
• Perform product verification and test before submission to MSO and CableLabs.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in DOCSIS Cable Modem testing and wireless device testing
• 1-3 years of experience understanding how to use CMTS (Cable Modem Termination System)
• Understanding of DOCSIS 3.0 and 3.1 specifications
• Flexible and positive attitude, ability to handle diverse challenges
• Passion for learning new technologies and products
