- Research, design, develop and validate wireless sensing and telematics products
- Collaborate with Product Management to determine project requirements
- Work on simultaneous projects with fast development cycles
- Conduct in-vehicle research ex. vehicle wiring connections or CAN bus message analysis
- Coordinate with various groups to contribute technically on projects
- Develop firmware for microcontrollers
- Conduct board bring-up of prototypes
- Develop device drivers and board support packages for hardware
- Build product application firmware
- Validate product functionality with engineering technicians
- Create test fixtures
- BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- Strong experience with developing firmware for microcontrollers in C
- Experience with ARM Cortex-M MCU firmware development (NXP/Freescale Kinetis, STM32)
- Serial Protocol and low-level driver experience (I2C, SPI, USB, UART, etc.)
- Custom board bring-up experience
- Bare metal firmware development and RTOS experience
- Debugging skills
- FreeRTOS experience
- Digital Signal Processing of audio
- CAN bus experience
- Communication protocols
- Bluetooth Low Energy
- WiFi and cellular data communications
