Job Title: Front End DeveloperLocation: Leawood, KS (Onsite Opportunity)Duration: Full Time SUMMARYTravel: Approximately 5 days travel per year RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Associate Front-end Developer is responsible for creating and maintaining well-structured, standards-compliant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code to support the UI/UX and brand design of client websites and applications.
- Responsibilities include developing user interfaces and components in HTML5 and CSS3 using a front-end framework (Web Components) built on Node, Stencil, and Typescript; maintaining and updating the front-end code repository; optimizing the front-end code stack to improve performance; meeting W3C and WCAG standards for front-end code; and supporting the client brand in websites and web applications.
- The Associate Front-end Developer works closely with User Experience, Design, and Software Development teams to interpret project requirements and develop efficient, user-friendly front-end designs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Specialized training in front-end development, plus a minimum of two years related work experience.
- Experience writing standards-compliant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, particularly using a front-end framework.
- Experience using web content management systems; editing .Net Razor Pages or similar templates.
- Experience maintaining and optimizing front-end frameworks and libraries.
- Requires staying current on evolving web standards, web browser, and device technology.
- Skills in time management, organization, and strong oral/written communication required.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment essential.
- Current experience with: HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JavaScript, Typescript, front-end frameworks, responsive and/or fluid web design.
- Experience with the Web Components model, Stencil, and Node considered helpful.
- Experience with Agile scrum method, Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket), User Experience principles, Adobe Experience Manager, and/or Salesforce Lightning Design System considered a plus.
