Located in Abbott Park, Illinois, the Help Desk Analyst opportunity is a long-term contract role.Your responsibilities in this role- Reply and follow up on technical help tickets submitted via phone, email, and walk-ups- Pinpoint recurring technical issues and present solutions to address the root of the problems- Provide IT assistance for operating systems, productivity software, and a variety of other software applications used internally- Independently investigate and implement solutions to technical issues Requirements - Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement- User administration and bug fixing in a client-server environment- IT support ticketing system experience highly valued- Proven experience in installing and configuring operating systems, networked and local printers, and business applications- Firm grasp of basic networking concepts- About Time experience- Good understanding of workflow processes- Earlier work involving Operating System- Experience with Assertion Markup Language- Prior experience with Passwords- Skills in Diagnose Problems- Solid understanding of Service Request Management- Solid understanding of Windows-based- Hands-on experience with Translate- Practical knowledge of Lotus Notes- Wide ranging experience with Microsoft Office Suites- Previous experience working with Computer Sciences- General familiarity with Communication Skills- Proven knowledge of internet- Customer service experience desired- Comprehension of Transfer Calls- Well-founded grasp of Networking- Quality experience with Deskside Support- Experience with Workstation Support- Knowledge of procedures- Strong familiarity with Answering Inbound Calls Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
