DevOps Senior Engineer

One of our direct clients is looking for DevOps Senior Engineer in Northbrook, Illinois. Below is the detailed job description. Role: DevOps Senior Engineer Location: Northbrook, Illinois - Initial Remote Type: Contract or FTE Candidate should have good experience in Kubernetes and terraform Responsibilities:

• Deep knowledge with hands on experience in building applications on AWS/Azure public cloud with cloud native design, microservice architecture and containerization.
• Deploy applications in AWS/Azure Cloud environment
• Expert in implementing CI & CD pipeline with various DevOps tool sets
• Experience driving continuous delivery practices with extensive usage of terraform and Kubernetes as hands on architect in larger organizations
• Proven experience in Writing Terraform Provider
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with source code management tools such as BitBucket and Git.
• Proficiency in cross-platform scripting languages and build tools (Gradle, Artifactory, Groovy, Python and Maven).
• Detailed knowledge and experience with the following technologies: Jenkins, Bitbucket/GIT, Artifactory, WireMock, SonarQube, and Splunk.
• Direct experience with DevOps in Azure.
• Experience building cloud-based infrastructure solutions in Azure with a strong governance model knowledge.
• Experience deploying and administering Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, TFS, TeamCity or Bamboo.
• Experience with Infrastructure cloud tools such as Terraform, Docker, Aspire, etc.
• Sound knowledge of administrative best practices for application servers, database servers and 3rd party appliances.
• Experience with automated testing solutions for unit testing, integration testing and system testing.
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java or C#.
• Understanding of strategies for providing high availability and security.
• Ability to define scalable CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of deployment strategies using Docker for containerization.
• Strong understanding and experience operating in an agile development environment.
• Experience with Oracle Database or any other SQL servers.
• Monitoring experience using tool such as AppDynamics or Azure monitoring tools.
