The Data Engineer is responsible for implementing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as implementing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. This role will build data pipelines primarily from network infrastructure system data into data solutions. The Data Engineer will support software developers, data analysts and data scientists on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. They must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products.

RESPONSIBILITIES• Implement and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.• Identify and implement internal process improvements by automating manual processes• Implement the infrastructure required for extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources including both raw, unstructured and structured data sources.• Implement analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.• Assist with troubleshooting of data pipelines, including off-hour (24X7) maintenance activities, problem resolution, and participation in rotational on-call support.• Work with stakeholders including network engineering, network operations, automation development, and analytic teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.• Implement data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.

QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent work or military experience.• Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) skills and fundamental understanding of data management systems including Big data and non-relational databases• Experience with software integration concepts such as REST APIs, and structured query languages (SQL)• Good understanding of network concepts such as LAN/WAN, LTE, VoLTE, etc.• Experience with Oracle Store Procedures• Experience re-engineering / process improvement• Experience working in cross-functional project teams.• Excellent problem solving / analytical skills and knowledge of analytical tools• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Experience presenting technical information in front of large audiences.• Experience supporting mission-critical infrastructure in a fast-paced environment
