Senior Front-End Developer

This role requires the worker to be onsite at the client office in Alpharetta, GA, 3 days per week (at manager's discretion).

Summary:
  • We are looking for an experienced Front End Developer to join our client's UX team.
  • The primary focus will be on maintaining and fixing bugs in the existing component library.
  • Working with the UX team, they will eventually be shifting over to building new components utilizing Web Component technology.
  • The candidate will be working with a team to uphold and maintain proper coding standards, not only in their own code, but others as well.
  • There is also a heavy emphasis and consideration for accessibility when developing design system components.
  • We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, but also keeps an open mind in hearing other perspectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Investigating and fixing bugs for existing components
  • Code reviewing PRs
  • Participating in dailies (stand ups/refinement)
  • Helping other teams with any issues they may have with the component library
  • Unit Testing
  • Dealing with accessibility issues
  • Developing new components

Required Skills:
  • Four (4) or more years of experience with building responsive web applications
  • Excellent JavaScript, CSS and HTML
  • Experience with a JavaScript framework (i.e., Angular, React, Vue) or Web Components
  • Solid understanding of object oriented programming
  • Ability to communicate ideas
  • Ability to debug issues

Additional Skills (a plus)
  • Understanding of WCAG and coding for accessibility
  • Experience working with screen readers (e.g. JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack, etc.)

NOTE:
  • Regarding the interview process: our team will send qualified candidates a technical assessment that the client has developed.
  • There will be up to three (3) live coding challenges and multiple meetings with the client hiring team.
  • The candidate must be able to appear on video in all meetings.
