Job DetailsJob Summary: Member of a team that tests software and hardware baselines as well as integrating systems together.Essential Job Functions: Works closely with the development staff, and systems engineers to thoroughly understand the system requirements and software and hardware implementation. Performs routine design and test programs, processes, and systems to measure the functionality and integrity of products and services. Assists with writing basic test procedures and protocols to assess product reliability and evaluates the ability of products to meet performance standards and specifications. Gathers basic test data and evaluates the results of tests to determine if product designs and architecture meets customer specifications and performance expectations. May develop basic test simulations to evaluate how products react under different conditions. Debugs basic test hardware and software to analyze product failure and assesses the integrity and reliability of product performance. May Analyzes routine test cases and scenarios and reports results. May collaborate with other engineering groups to improve or upgrade product performance.Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical discipline. May substitute relevant military or work experience in lieu of degree.Recommended Skills: Experience with Red Hat LINUX, Windows, VMWare and understanding of AGILE software development method. Other Requirements: Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status with ability to obtain a SECRET to TOP SECRET security clearance.
